Prescription drug take back in Charles City

Charles City Sheriff Alan M. Jones Sr. stands by a medical disposal bin to signify that the sheriff’s office will institute a 24-hour Prescription Drug Take Back Program. The event will kickoff on Saturday, Oct. 26, 10 a.m.-2 p.m. and provide the public information that includes disposing of dangerous, unwanted, and unused pills, preventing pill abuse, and the dangers of keeping prescription drugs in the home. Unwanted pills can be disposed at Charles City’s Sheriff’s Office (no liquid or needles), is free, and anonymous.
