Summer Regional Governor’s School available to students in NK, CC

Middle Peninsula Summer Regional Governor’s School is Aug. 4-8, at St. Clare Walker Middle School in Middlesex.

he MPSRGS is sponsored and funded by the Virginia Department of Education with contributions from participating school systems.

The nine participating school systems of Charles City, Essex, Gloucester, King and Queen, King William, Mathews, Middlesex, New Kent, and the town of West Point are contributing localities to the program.

This program provides problem-based classes for approximately 150 identified gifted students currently in grades 3-7. The application process includes an essay, academic information, and a teacher recommendation.

Applications may be obtained from your school division’s local gifted coordinator.
