Letter to the Editor: Says there is no justification to impeach former President Donald Trump
If impeachment is unattainable by the democrats, I hear Senator Tim Kaine has proposed that the 14th Amendment of the U.S. Constitution should be used against former President Donald Trump.
The amendment states that anyone guilty of “insurrection or rebellion” against the United States shall not be eligible to hold an elective office in the United States. Out of fear of Trump, this is their objective.
When someone is assumed guilty of a crime of any kind, they must be so charged and brought to trial for such alleged acts. The said person shall be tried before a prosecutor and a defense attorney who presents evidence in front of a jury that will determine the guilt or innocence of the accused. At this time, former President Trump has not been tried and the “so-called” evidence has not been proven beyond a shadow of doubt by any jury.
It is self-evident that the accusers are filled with hate for Trump and will attempt in any way possible to discredit and destroy him. A real court would not and could not present the evidence needed and they know it. We are losing our constitutional republic form of government, American traditions, our culture, ethical standards, and our very legal system by destructive forces in our very own government. Where is the due process of the law? Plain and simple, President Trump did not call for any violent act at the U.S. Capital.
Many people of the Democratic Party have violated the U.S. Constitution, Rule of Law, breached classified security laws, and have not even faced legal action for far worse than the frequent, continued accusations against former President Trump.
The Summer riots of 2020 and destruction in our cities, attacks upon law enforcement, and takeover of government buildings can only be seen as an attempt to take over our government. Rebellious Acts of insurrection that could have been encouraged by some government officials.
I know where the real insurrection is and many others do too. The lies and deceits are fooling no one. You are supposed to serve, protect, and defend the United States Constitution and the Rule of Law, not destroy it. We are not intimidated. May God save the United States of America.
