Charles City High School Media Center receives $3,000 ALA grant
Charles City High School’s media center has selected as a recipient of a national grant for small and rural libraries. The grant is part of an ongoing study conducted by the American Library Association that focuses on transforming library communities in small localities.
“We are so proud to be chosen for this amazing opportunity,” said Media Specialist Lisa Brown. “In addition to adding audio books and graphic novels to our collection, this grant will allow our media center to provide resources on mental health issues.”
The $3,000 grant will assist the library will be used to provide the library resources for struggling readers by enhancing audio books and graphic novels.
