Portion of Barnetts Road in Charles City closing July 6-9 for pipe replacement

A portion of Barnetts Road (Route 609) in Charles City County will close next week for pipe replacement (weather permitting).

Barnetts Road will close between Wayside Road (Route 607) and West Run Road (Route 625) beginning at 8 a.m. on Tuesday, July 6. The road is tentatively scheduled to reopen on Friday, July 9, 4 p.m.

Motorists will be navigated along a 7.3-mile detour. Drivers traveling southbound will take Wayside Road to Kimages Road (Route 658) and travel along that road to return to West Run Road. Those traveling northbound will take West Run Road towards Kimages Road and travel north to Wayside Road before returning to Barnetts Road.
