Letter to the Editor: Some people can’t fight the battles that need to be fought
In a ‘Letter to the Editor’ entitled “This isn’t the United States of America that we are living in” in a previous edition of the Chronicle, I was an “armchair quarterback,” pontificating on things but avoiding participation in real corrective action. What excuse do I have?
First, at my age, it takes much time to do basic bodily functions, such as eating, bathing, getting dressed and grooming. Second, medical conditions limit me and what I can do. Third, my driving days are nearly over, especially at night. Finally, my cognitive abilities may be waning.
I’m not exactly a total washout, but you can see why I’m not right there pitching to do my part to help solve problems and do what needs to be doing. What excuse do the rest of you have?
