Communication is key in all assets of life.

One of the things that we as people fear is rejection or disapproval. A lot of this stems from communication and the inability to express ourselves in a clear and concise matter. Most people have a way to get information across but doing it the proper way and through the ideal methodology is another aspect in itself.
Communication works at all levels. From the home to the work environment, words, actions, and messages are ways to express these ways to each other. But one form of communication may not be suitable in certain situations.

With the growth of technology, one of these examples is messages sent via email or texts. A person may be speaking about something sarcastically through these means, but the recipient may take it on a more serious note. Talking and seeing a person’s visual movements are examples of how nonverbal and verbal communication coincides with each other.

In today’s time, communication has become a tool that has struck fear in us. Unfortunately, we live in a world where social media arguments lead to real life conflicts and tragedies. People are afraid to relay this information to the proper authorities and there are times where it becomes a danger to all of us.

But communication has also been a help to us as well through social media. If a person goes missing or a crime has taken place, the ability to share this information with a click of a button has saved lives and prevented future crimes.

All in all, we must learn how to communicate as human beings more. Yes, there will be breakdowns and there will be conflicts, but resolutions and the ability to work together are the result of being open with each other. Let’s continue to exercise our ability to share our thoughts, beliefs, and actions through ways that build us up and not tear us down.
