Maryland man indicted for alleged robbery in New Kent County
A Maryland man who allegedly robbed a home in New Kent County has been indicted on several charges following the convergence of a grand jury on Monday morning in New Kent.
DeAngelo N. Brown, 36, of the 4600 block of Dallas Place, Temple Hills, received two indictments each on felony destruction of property and misdemeanor assault and battery, and one indictment each on burglary, robbery, strangulation, and misdemeanor damaging a phone line. Brown allegedly broke into the dwelling place of Raven Randall and stole a cell phone while damaging property belonging to her and Vannie Spruill on Nov. 10, 2022.
In other indictments certified by the grand jury:
–Harlan Egan Adkins, 52, of the 4700 block of Adkins Road, Providence Forge, on two counts of assault and battery on a family member (third offense) and a lone count of strangulation. The offenses allegedly took place on Oct. 6, 2022.
–Talmadage Alvis Allen, 71, of the 3500 block of Harris Avenue, Richmond, on one count each of possession of a Schedule I/II drug and misdemeanor providing a false identification. Allen allegedly possessed cocaine on Jan. 18, and did not provide truthful information to law enforcement officers.
–Charles Edward Bagby III, 36, of the 1600 block of Regent Road, Topping, on two counts of forgery, and one count each of forgery of a public, misdemeanor false identification to a law enforcement officer, misdemeanor reckless driving by speed, misdemeanor reckless driving (general), and misdemeanor driving suspended. The defendant allegedly was pulled over for an offense on Feb. 7, 2022, and provided the patrolling officer false information.
–Amanda Renee Bal, 34, of the 2100 block of S. Waterside Drive, Lanexa, on two charges of possession of a Schedule I/II drug, and one count each of misdemeanor driving revoked and misdemeanor altering a license plate. The defendant allegedly was in possession of methamphetamine and amphetamine on June 2, 2022.
–Joshua David Butler, 35, of the 15000 block of NE 49th Lane, Williston, Florida, on a single count of assault and battery on a law enforcement officer. The offense allegedly took place on July 24, 2021.
–Brandon Patrick Davis, 28, of the 7500 block of Elko Road, Sandston, on a solo charge of possession of a Schedule I/II drug. Davis was allegedly in possession of cocaine on Dec. 28, 2022.
–Matthew Wayne Haynes, 52, of the 100 block of Plain View Lane, Shacklefords, on one count each of felony eluding of police and driving suspended after being convicted of a related felony, and one count each of misdemeanor charges of DUI (second offense) and carrying a gun while intoxicated. The offenses allegedly took place on Nov. 29, 2022.
–Howard Stephen Hinnant IV, 21, of the 8900 block of Ellyson Trace, Quinton, on a single count of entering a school after being convicted as a Tier III sex offender. The offense allegedly took place on Nov. 11, 2022.
–Lorenzo Hinton, 47, of the 53000 block of W. Garfield Drive, Richmond, on one count each of felony eluding of police, and one count each of misdemeanor charges of refusing to take a blood test, failure to yield, misdemeanor DUI (second offense), and misdemeanor driving suspended with a blood-alcohol content level greater than .02. The offenses allegedly occurred on Nov. 24, 2022.
–David Sidney Howell, 72, of the 5300 block of Roxbury Road, Providence Forge, on a lone count of driving revoked after the license was revoked for a related convicted felony. The offense allegedly took place on May 10, 2022.
–Tampka Ladawn Jones, 42, of the 10000 block of West Broad Street, Glen Allen, on a solo charge of misdemeanor assault and battery. The offense allegedly took place on Mar. 7.
–Alex Michael Kahl, 37, of the 10000 block of Tunstall Road, New Kent, on one count each of DUI (third or subsequent offense), felony destruction of property, and felony hit and run, and one charge each of misdemeanor charges of driving while revoked, resisting arrest, and refusing to take a breathalyzer test (subsequent offense). Kahl allegedly ran from law enforcement officers on Nov. 2, 2022 and struck a truck and light pole parked in a yard.
–Alexander William Kessler, 25, of the 4400 block of Windy Lane, Barhamsville, on a solo charge of possession of a Schedule I/II drug. Kessler was allegedly in possession of cocaine on Nov. 12, 2022.
–Kyle Curtis Martin, 33, of the 5900 block of Quinton Estates Drive, Quinton, on a solo count of entering a school after being convicted as a Tier III sex offender. The offense allegedly took place on Nov. 20, 2022.
–Kenneth Ray Thompson Jr., 59, of the 500 block of Vaughn Avenue, Hampton, on two counts of possession of a controlled substance with intent to distribute, and one count of felony failure to appear. Thompson allegedly attempted to distribute drugs in 2015 and didn’t show up for his court trial on Jan. 19, 2016.
–Thomas Ray Walton, 29, of the 5600 block of County Drive, Barhamsville, on two counts of possession of a Schedule I/II drug. The defendant allegedly possessed Hydrocodone and Acetaminophen on Oct. 29, 2022.
–Nevin Bryce White, 22, of the 400 block of Whitworth Way, Williamsburg, on one charge each of possession of a Schedule I/II drug, and misdemeanor carrying a concealed weapon. White allegedly was in possession of cocaine on Oct. 24, 2022, and hid a weapon from officers upon his arrest.
