Charles City Panther teams earn eighth, ninth place finishes at home meet

Charles City High School’s boys’ track and field team finished in eighth place at the Apr. 13 regular home season meet.

Ashton English was the top scorer for the Panthers, earning a third place finish in the shot put with a toss of 38’10”.

Charles City scored 11 points in the competition. Middlesex captured the boys’ portion of the competition with 148.5 points.

On the girls’ side, Charles City scored 12 points to earn a ninth-place finish in the meet.

Madison Bradby was the top finisher for the Lady Panthers, earning fourth place in the girls’ triple jump with a leap of 30’0”.

Brunswick’s girls’ team scored 129 points to earn the top spot in the contest.
