Lanexa woman dies in New Kent motorcycle accident

A Saturday afternoon accident on Stage Road in New Kent has resulted in the death of a Lanexa woman.

According to a Virginia State Police report, officers responded to a single-vehicle crash eastbound on Stage Road. A 2013 Triumph Street Triple R motorcycle ran off the road on the right and struck a tree.

The driver, Sara Madrae Holden, 38, was ejected from the motorcycle and died at the scene. She was wearing a helmet at the time.

The crash remains under investigation.
