Silver in state competition

Members of the New Kent-Charles City Four Rivers 4-H shooting club competed in the 4-H State Shotgun Championships on Sept. 23 in Victoria. The senior team of David Whipp III, Jimmie LeLeux, John LeLeux, and Garnett Stover, finished in second in the Senior Team category, with Whipp and John LeLeux receiving invitations to the national competition in 2024. Morgan Gifford finished in third place in the Junior Ladies classification.
