Letter to the Editor: Supports Patricia Paige for Supervisor in New Kent

As a resident of District 3 in New Kent, I am writing to express my support for the re-election of Patricia Paige for Supervisor.

A life-long resident of New Kent, Patricia has been a positive force for the governance, development, and preservation of New Kent. As a two-term representative, she has been instrumental in promoting, guiding, and securing funding for transportation improvements, that include the widening of Interstate 64, and the modifications for the Interstate 64/Route interchange that will be made by the Buc-ee’s project.

While acting upon the need for these and other actions for our rapidly expanding county population, Patricia has remained true to protecting and preserving the county’s natural and rural heritage. She, along with the other board members, recognized the need to exert greater control over pathways for development, including updating the 2020 New Kent County Master that provided a new provision for residential conservation development. That decision provides new efficiencies in the county and will help bring broadband service to rural areas while preserving the invaluable attributes of both rural working and conservation lands.

Patricia’s openness, availability, and “roll up your sleeves” work ethic, makes her the obvious choice to continue her the obvious choice to continue her representation on New Kent County’s Board of Supervisors. I employ you to vote Patricia Paige as the District 3 representative to New Kent County’s Board of Supervisors.
