Courthouse Road in Providence Forge to close Oct. 23 for railroad repairs
Courthouse Road (Route 155) in Providence Forge at the railroad crossing will be closed for two days beginning on Monday, Oct. 23.
Southern Commercial Development, LLC and CSX transportation will close the roadway to all traffic to conduct emergency repairs and maintenance. A new panel is expected to be replaced.
The closing will begin on Monday, Oct. 23, at 6 a.m. with the expectation for the road to open on Wednesday, Oct. 25, 6 a.m.
Detours will be as follow:
Traveling Southbound on Courthouse Road (Route 155): Take Route 60 West for one mile and turn left onto Route 618 (Adkins Road). Travel 5.2 miles and turn left onto Route 602 (Lott Cary Road). Turn left onto Courthouse Road (Route 155) North to return towards Providence Forge or turn right (Route 155 South) to head towards Route 5 (John Tyler Memorial Highway).
Traveling Northbound on Courthouse Road (Route 155): Take Route 155 South and turn right onto Lott Cary Road (Route 602). Travel three miles and turn right onto Adkins Road (Route 618). Travel 5.2 miles and turn right onto Route 60 East (Pocahontas Trail) to return Route 155.
