Recognition of service to Charles City County

Charles City’s Board of Supervisors and state representatives recognized three former county contributors during Tuesday night’s regular board meeting. Above, Denise Burrell Smith was recognized for 42 years of service and as the first African-American woman to serve as Commissioner of Revenue in the State of Virginia. Below, former board members Gilbert Smith and Bill Coada (bottom) were also recognized for their years of service to Charles City County.
