Regional golf champions

New Kent High School’s golf team captured the Region 3A Championship last week. The team combined to shoot a 303, more than 25 strokes better than runner-up Lafayette. Kyle Diggs was selected as the Region 3A Player of the Year. The team will participate in the Group 3A State Championships on Oct. 15 in Harrisonburg.
