Stewart elected at PlanRVA chairwoman

Jordan Stewart, New Kent’s Board of Supervisors District 5 representative, has been elected as the new chairwoman for PlanRVA.

Formerly known as the Richmond Regional Planning District Commission, PlanRVA encompasses nine localities and acts as a planning agency and provider of essential services to the region. The organization works to convene community representatives and build relationships that strengthen capacity across the region.

“I’m looking forward to serving both my community and the region in this new role and am anticipating a great year ahead,” Stewart said in a press release.
