New Kent topples Atlee in dual wrestling meet

New Kent’s defeated the Atlee Raiders 54-26 during a Jan. 7 dual meet.

Tristan Carter pinned Billy Dickerson to open up the scoring for the Trojans. Blake Gregory earned a pinfall victory over Atlee’s T.J. Puryear in the 150-pound division.

Atlee received their first win as Noah Hetrick pinned Callen Carter. The Raiders earned a second victory with Scott Tompkins victory over Luke Adamson.

The Trojans rebounded as Quinn Morrison pinned Simon Ward, Chase Wiles earned a pinfall over Tyler Olden in the 185-pound matchup, and Bennett Adamson defeated Beau Mudd. Brian Pascale captured a victory for New Kent over Mason Davis in the heavyweight division. New Kent’s Trent Carter and Carter Roy won matches via forfeit.
