Elsie McLaughlin

Elsie McLaughlin, 92, of New Kent, Virginia, peacefully departed this life on Jan. 30, 2026.

Elsie was born on Nov. 20, 1933. Her life was a testament to faith, family, and enduring love. Her memory will live on in the hearts of all who knew her.

Elsie was preceded in death by her husband, Bert E. McLaughlin; brother, Robert Sibley; sisters, Deloris wright and Ruby Hogg; son, Steven McLaughlin; daughter, Theresa Smith; and grandson, Jason Meade.

She is survived by her sisters, Barba Saddler, Betty Kennard, and Laura Mae Willis; son, Mark McLaughlin (Kimberly); along with numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

The family will receive friends at Providence United Methodist Church, 4001 New Kent Highway, Quinton, VA 23141 on Saturday, Feb. 28, 2026 at 11 a.m. for a memorial service celebrating her life.
