New Kent girls, boys fourth at home Bay Rivers meet

New Kent’s girls’ and boys’ track and field team placed fourth in the Bay Rivers District home meet on Mar. 25.

New Kent’s 4×800 meter relay team of Andrea Dallaire, Audrey Hudson, Aubrey Loucks, and Olivia Hudson ran a time of 10:37.61 to win the event. Ryan Griffith was the other event winner for the Lady Trojans, capturing the girls’ triple jump with a distance of 34’7”.

The girls’ team accumulated 70.75 points to finish fourth, with Warhill winning the meet with 130 points.

On the boys’ side, New Kent once again swept the pole vault competition to score a majority of their points.

Mason Schalasny won the event with a clearance of 12’6”. Teammate Liam Holloway placed second with a mark of 12’0”, and Landon Evans captured third with a height of 11’6”.

The boys’ team scored 66 points at the meet. Warhill captured the win at the meet with 129.5 points.
