New Kent grand jury certifies indictments against 16 individuals in circuit court
A grand jury handed up several indictments as part of proceedings that took place Monday morning in New Kent Circuit Court:
–Sherwood Jerome Banks Jr., 37, of the 7900 block of Plum Point Road, West Point, on a solo charge of possession of a Schedule I/II drug. Banks allegedly was in possession of heroin on Jan. 11.
–Mehki Kewan Briggs, 23, of the 7800 block of Lovegrass Terrance, New Kent, on one charge each of distribution of marijuana greater than one ounce and misdemeanor carrying a concealed weapon. The offenses allegedly occurred on Nov. 24, 2025.
–Michael Shane Cooke, 58, of the 2000 block of Adkins Road, Richmond, on a single charge of possession of a Schedule I/II substance. The defendant was allegedly in possession of methamphetamine on Nov. 25, 2025.
–Taz Elliott Fisher, 46, of the 9200 block of Boulevard Road, Providence Forge, on a solo count of breaking and entering. Fisher allegedly broke into the residence of Tracy Tench on Feb. 24.
–Eli Wadell Green Jr., 27, of the 1900 block of Titanium Avenue, Midlothian, on two counts of felony child abuse, misdemeanor DWI with child (second offense), and misdemeanor carrying a gun while under the influence. Green allegedly was operating a vehicle with minors in the vehicle on June 29, 2025 while intoxicated.
–Brady Matthew Hebert, 52, of the 200 block of Weise Drive, Louisa, on one count each of grand larceny and intent to sell stolen property. The defendant allegedly stole a Nexhaul Trailer and Bobcat Skid Steer belonging to Thomas Weaver on Aug. 23, 2025.
–Armando De Je Morales Herrera, 29, of the 13000 block of Davinci Lane, Herndon, on one count each of felony eluding, misdemeanor reckless driving by speed, and misdemeanor refusing to take a breathalyzer test (second offense). The offenses allegedly took place on Mar. 7.
–Glenn Thomas Jones, 54, of the 2000 block of Tinker Drive, Fort Washington, Maryland, on one count each of possession of a Schedule I/II drug, misdemeanor driving while intoxicated (first offense), and misdemeanor reckless driving. The defendant allegedly was in possession of cocaine on Oct. 22, 2025 after being pulled over for a traffic offense.
–Angel Misael Vasquez Madrigal, 42, of the 2400 block of Hobart Road, Richmond, on a single count of possession of a Schedule I/II drug. Madrigal was allegedly in possession of Fentanyl on May 25, 2025.
–Adrian Gustavo Naranjo, 35, of the 2200 block of Chateu Court, Richmond, on a single charge of driving felony revoked. The offense allegedly took place on Jan. 12.
–Bruce Wayne Osbourne, 47, of the 1400 block of E. Waldrop Road, Amelia Court House, on a lone count of grand larceny. Osbourne allegedly stole an iPhone 16 Max belonging to Jill Harlow on Nov. 22, 2025.
–Kenneth Ray Philbates, 53, of the 2700 block of Windsor Lane, Providence Forge, on one count each of forging bank notes and misdemeanor bad check larceny. The defendant allegedly wrote a check to himself in the amount of $486.37 on Nov. 19, 2025.
–Gregory Allen Pritt, 38 of the 800 block of Glebe Road, Saluda, on one count each of possession of a Schedule I/II drug and misdemeanor DWI (first offense). Pritt was allegedly in possession of heroin after being stopped on a traffic offense on Nov. 15, 2025.
–Barbara Ann Toney, 49, of the 9800 block of Essex Hills Road, New Kent, on one charge each of possession of a Schedule I/II substance and misdemeanor DWI (first offense). Toney was allegedly in possession of cocaine on Aug. 27, 2025.
–Allison Erica Weagley, 36, of the 13900 block of Cypress Drive, Lanexa, on a solo charge of possession of a Schedule I/II substance. Weagley allegedly possessed Fentanyl on Nov. 26, 2024.
–James Russell Williams, 74, of the 8100 block of Foxwell Road, Providence Forge, on one count each of malicious wounding, misdemeanor brandishing, and misdemeanor assault and battery. Williams allegedly committed these offenses against a victim on Sept. 21, 2025.
