Lanexa man stipulates to evidence of possessing child pornography in New Kent

A Lanexa man has stipulated to evidence in possessing child pornography in New Kent County.

Donavan Trayton Pulliam, 20, agreed to terms of a plea deal to one charge each of possession of child pornography and possession of child pornography (second offense) during Monday proceedings in New Kent Circuit Court. Nine additional charges of possession of child pornography (second offense) were dropped as part of the agreement.

In a summary of evidence provided by New Kent Commonwealth’s Attorney Scott Renick, on May 15, 2025, investigators received information about the possibility of illegal pornographic material being downloaded to electronic devices in New Kent. Through the investigation, Pulliam was identified as a person of interest. When investigators arrived and searched through the electronic devices, it was discovered that Pulliam had pictures of topless teenage girls on his computer.

Under the agreement, a deferred disposition has been issued as the defendant will undergo a psychosexual evaluation as part of stipulating to the evidence. A two-year time frame has been granted as the evaluation also consists of counseling and rehabilitation.

In other circuit court matters:

–Jay Scott Burrows, 42, of the 300 block of Manson Drive, Perrysville, Maryland, was formally found guilty on possession of a Schedule I/II drug. During an Apr. 20 trial, Burrows pled guilty to possessing cocaine. At the trial, evidence presented showed that on Jan. 18, 2025, a Virginia State Trooper conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle for a traffic violation. A passenger in the vehicle, later identified as Burrows, exhibited irrational behavior along with the driver. A K-9 unit was brought in and conducted a free air sniff, identifying possible drugs in the vehicle. When Burrows stepped out the car, he was searched and inside of his jacket was a powdery substance later identified as cocaine.

Burrows failed to successfully complete the First Offender Program, resulting in the guilty conviction being finalized. Burrows received a five-year sentence with all time suspended.

–Rowan Mitchell Greene, 20, of the 6800 block of Weedon Drive, Fredericksburg, entered a plea of guilty to a single count of felony eluding as part of a plea agreement.

In a summary of evidence, on Apr. 18, a New Kent deputy patrolling westbound Interstate 64 traffic at mile marker 220 clocked a vehicle traveling 90 miles per hour in a posted 70 miles per hour zone. As the officer attempted to catch up to the vehicle, the suspect’s car accelerated to 120 miles per hour. Spike strips were eventually deployed, bringing the pursuit to a halt. From that point forward, the driver, identified as Greene, cooperated and was taken into custody.

Greene received a five-year jail sentence with four years, nine months suspended (three months to serve). He must also pay a fine of $1,000.
