Kathy H. Collier
Kathy H. Collier, 68, of New Kent County, VA, packed her bags and headed to heaven on September 1, 2026.
Kathy had been a Security Engineer for Anthem for many years but had retired a few years ago. She enjoyed sharing plants with friends but loved any animal she met even more. She enjoyed dancing under the stars with her friends and family, best known as her “peeps”. She would have seen more sunsets than sunrises, but who was counting. She loved heading to the mountains any time of the year.
As she traveled down the Golden Street toward the Pearly Gates, she was met by her husband, Robert (Rob) Collier; sister, Kim White; her parents, William (Bill) Hatch and Joyce Harding Hatch; mother-in-law, Nancy Collier; and many fur-babies, Knothead, Sadie, and Abby at the front of the line.
As she reached the gates, she turned and blew kisses to her earthly family: her brother, Mike (Kim) Hatch; brothers-in-law, James “Jimmy” White and Jeff Collier; niece, April (Tomek) Sedowski; nephew, Brian Hatch; and her fur nephew, Knox. She then turned to her many friends, and there were many; she sent up a cheer and said, “See you peeps later, I’ll meet you when you get here”.
She walked on into the gates to the bright sunlight to a painless life (mo-better) and more fur babies to pet.
Family and friends will celebrate her life on October 03, 2026, at 3:00 pm at Monaghan Funeral Home; 7300 Creighton Pkwy, Mechanicsville, VA 23111. Food and renewed friendships will follow the service.
In lieu of flowers and gifts, please donate to your local Pet shelters, because pets were one of her favorites. Share a plant or flower with a friend or neighbor.
