Four arrested over the weekend in New Kent

Two Gloucester men have been arrested in connection to incidents occurring at Rockahock Campground in the Lanexa area of New Kent.

Braedon Rosell, 19, of the 6500 block of Kimberly Drive, and Jacob Allen, 18, of the 6600 block of Hickory Knoll Road, each were arrested on one count each of grand larceny and destruction of property.

According to the arrest report, New Kent Sheriff’s Office responded to the campground after receiving complaints of thefts and vandalisms. Through investigations and information reported by citizens, deputies were able to identify the aforementioned suspects. The two were arrested and items from the larcenies were recovered. A third suspect, a 16-year old juvenile, was also arrested on the same pending charges.

Rosell was being held on $5,000 bond, and Allen was held on a $2,500 bond.

In other New Kent arrest reports:

–Vanessa Julieann Chadwick, 19, of the 3900 block of Bailey Road, Providence Forge, was arrested on one count of felony embezzlement. According to the police report, Chadwick allegedly stole property from Cornerstone Thrift Store in Providence Forge while employed there. She was booked and released on $2,000 bond.

–Michael James Morgan II, 19, of the 800 block of Michigan Street, Wabash, Indiana, was arrested on one count each of grand larceny, arson of personal property, vehicle tampering, and two counts of entering a vehicle without permission. According to the arrest report, Morgan was extradited to New Kent on outstanding warrants in relation to recent vehicle break-ins and a vehicle fire in the Woodhaven Shores, subdivision. Damaged by arson was a 1996 Ford F-350 pickup, belonging to a Woodhaven Shores’ resident. Deputies say physical evidence and tips from the community pointed to the alleged defendant. Items that were taken from the vehicle were returned to the owners. Morgan was being held on $3,000 bond.
