Richard “Dick” Jangraw

Richard “Dick” Jangraw of Quinton, died on Nov. 25, 2012 at the age of 81.

He is remembered as a loving husband, father, grandfather and great-grandfather. Dick is preceded in death by his daughter Michelle, his brothers Eddie and Johnny, and his parents Estelle and Robert.

He is survived by his wife Carolee “Tiger” and their pampered dog, Violet; his step-daughters Brenda Clark (husband Danny) and grandchildren Jeslyn and Joey of Quinton; Donna Connolly of Manchester, Conn.; Karen Sheats (husband Gary) of Charlotte, N.C.; and his grandson Rory Connolly (wife Diana) and a great-granddaughter, Ryan, of Indianapolis, Ind.

Dick is also survived by his sister Pat Farnsworth (husband Eugene); his son Steven Jangraw (wife Dottie), granddaughters, Jeannette, Katrina and Stephanie and great-grandson, Reese; his daughter Denise Guillette of Malden, Mass.; grandson Jake; and great-grandson Wesley.

Dick was a Korean War veteran, retired heavy equipment mechanic and every day loved to fix things. But his true passion was for nature and the land that he and Carolee spent many years nurturing, creating a personal park in their backyard. When they were not digging up the ground to plant a garden, they were on the road going to Vermont, Connecticut, Indiana or North Carolina to visit their spread-out clan. One of their favorite trips was to Germany, Austria and Switzerland, which almost compared to their adventure in Hawaii years ago.

A life well lived. He will be missed by those who loved him most!
