Mrs. Edwin Scott Wallace II (Emily Anne Evelyn)
The marriage of Emily Anne Evelyn, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Thomas C. Evelyn of New Kent, to Edwin Scott Wallace II, son of Mr. and Mrs. Edwin Scott Wallace of Lanexa, took place Saturday, Oct. 27, 2012, at St. Peter’s Parish Church in New Kent.
The Very Rev. Dr. S. Paul Rowles, Rector, officiated at the ceremony.
The bride is the granddaughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. William C. Stanley formerly of Glen Allen, and the late Mr. and Mrs. Charles H. Evelyn, formerly of New Kent.
The groom is the grandson of Mrs. William E. Wallace of Providence Forge and the late Mr. Wallace, and Ronald W. Lang of Lanexa and the late Mrs. Lang.
The bride was escorted by her father and given in marriage by her parents.
Caroline Evelyn, sister of the bride, was the maid of honor and Chelsie Habib, friend of the bride, was the matron of honor.
The bridesmaids were Jessica Evelyn and Carrie Evelyn, sisters-in-law of the bride, Ashton Wallace, sister of the groom, Kim Evelyn, cousin of the bride, Jackie Hodges, Lindsey Lewis, and Melissa Shaw, friends of the bride. Camden Evelyn, niece of the bride, and Clara and Sofia Foster, cousins of the groom, were the flower girls.
Mr. Wallace was his son’s best man. Groomsmen were James Wallace, uncle of the groom, Thomas Evelyn and Patrick Evelyn, brothers of the bride, William Evelyn and Benjamin Evelyn, cousins of the bride, Chad Brady, Carter Evans, and John Stone Jr., all friends of the groom.
Junior groomsmen were Benjamin Wallace, cousin of the groom, and Clayton Evelyn, nephew of the bride. Trevor Evelyn, nephew of the bride, and John Wesley Tolley, cousin of the groom, were ring bearers. Charles Evelyn III, cousin of the bride, Parker Wallace, cousin of the groom, and Daniel Williams, friend of the groom, were ushers.
Mistress of ceremonies was Padgette Evelyn, aunt of the bride. Olivia Foster and Tiffany Tolley, cousins of the groom, were the readers. Jacob Wood, friend of the bride and groom, served as Crucifer. Adeline Foster and Molly Wallace, cousins of the groom, were guest book attendants.
The rehearsal dinner was hosted by the groom’s parents at Wallace Manor in Providence Forge. The wedding reception was held at the river house of the bride’s parents in New Kent.
The bride is a 2006 graduate of Virginia Tech. She is employed at Charles City Forest Products. The groom is a 2010 graduate from Randolph-Macon College and is employed at CSX.
The bride and groom would like to thank everyone who gave parties, showers, and luncheons in celebration of their nuptials. They appreciate everyone who participated in the celebration of their new life together. The couple will reside in New Kent.
