Holmes earns degree from UVA

Carlesa Latrice Holmes, the daughter of Melvin and Leila Christian-Holmes and granddaughter of the Rev. Frank E. and M. Rebecca Christian, finished her college education at the University of Virginia on Dec. 13 with a degree in mechanical engineering and minor in aerospace engineering.

She will receive her degree on Jan. 11, her 22nd birthday. She earned her degree in three-and-a-half years.
