NKEF 30 and Up Bracket Winner

Fifteen teams competed in the third annual 3-on-3 basketball tournament sponsored by New Kent Education Foundation and West Point Rotary on Feb. 23 at New Kent High School. Proceeds support New Kent schools and the West Point YMCA. In the age 30 and over group, the Davis Produce team (above) edged Godwin Electric 45-42 to claim first. In the 19-29 age bracket, the Terminators (below) won the title by defeating the Gillette Team. New Kent sponsors were Stran Trout, Craig and Lisa Jones, David and Kristine Swynford, Alan Files, Ray and May O’Leary, Steve and Mava Miles, Bob and Carolie Kay, Dr. Rick Richardson and Dr. Claiborne Winborne, Bobby and Carol Nelms, Thomas and Carrie Evelyn, Wendy and Roy Geiger, Source Auto and Hardware, and CRH Catering. West Point sponsors were C&F Finance, C&F Mortgage, C&F Bank, Eltham Auto Clinic, Schnabel Engineering, Wilson Engineers, Old Dominion Grain Elevator, RockTenn, Jane Massey Redd, and Henderson Incorporated.
