Freedom Martial Arts celebrated its first annual family day on May 4 at Quinton Park. Demonstrations, as well as a “pot luck” style picnic were among some of the activities conducted at the gathering. Directed by John Altizer, the center opened in December of last year and is located at 3215 Rock Creek Villa in New Kent. The facility teaches traditional and Olympic style Tae Kwon Do, yoga, and ‘Lil Dragons’ classes catering to kids 3-5 years of age.
