VPSF fall golf tournament to support families of officers
Virginia Public Safety Foundation (VPSF) is sponsoring a golf tournament on Sept. 13, 11 a.m., to provide funds and scholarships to families of fallen officers.
VPSF fall golf tournament will be held at The Club of Viniterra in New Kent. Among the honored families will be Charles City County sheriff’s deputy Michael Walizer. Among activities include a day of golf, games, and raffles.
VPSF’s education scholarship fund covers the cost of text books and school supplies for survivors, along with other items not covered by government grants. The organization also provides assistance to public safety officers injured in the line of duty and unable to retuwork while disabled.
