Mr. and Mrs. Anthony Burton Sickal (Cristen Kate Odom)

The marriage of Cristen Kate Odom and Anthony Burton Sickal took place on Saturday, June 8, 2013, at Taylor’s Farm in Providence Forge.

The bride is the daughter of Elaine Taylor Odom and Joe Chrystal and Keith & Cindy Odom. She is the granddaughter of Christine Taylor and the late Frank R. Taylor of Providence Forge and Cecil and Muriel Odom of North Carolina.

The groom is the son of Ray and Brenda Sickal of Barhamsville. He is the grandson of the late Lloyd and Grace Greene of King William and Corneila Johnson and the late Joseph Sickal of King & Queen.

The Reverend Dr. Joan Humphries from Ft. Lauderdale officiated.

The bride was escorted by her mother, Elaine Odom. The groom’s father, Ray Sickal was the best man.

Maids of Honor were Molly Lepter from Maryland and Jessica Lane from New Kent. Bridesmaids were Sara Jaeger from North Carolina, Christy Harding from California, Erin Odom from Charles City, Ashley Carter, Laura Smith and Kaysey Stertz from New Kent. The Matron of Ceremonies was Jessica Tench from Charles City. Eve Taylor Adkins was the flower girl.

Groomsmen were Chris Sickal, Stephen Davis, Matt Davis, Jake McPherson, Brandt Stitzer, Michael Yates, and Ryan Moore, all from New Kent.

The bride is a 2013 Honors Graduate of the United States Naval Academy with and double-majored in the fields of political science and Arabic.

She is stationed at Naval Station Norfolk and is assigned to the CG 61 Monterey.

The groom is a 2010 graduate of Virginia Tech with a degree in business administration. He is employed with Sickal Logging.

The couple will reside in King & Queen.
