Mr. and Mrs. Matthew Edwin Lambert (Anna Stuart Burnett)

The marriage of Miss Anna Stuart Burnett, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Stuart Rutledge Burnett of New Kent, to Mr. Matthew Edwin Lambert, son of Brenda Dawkins Lambert and Edward Clyde Lambert III of Richmond, took place on October 5, 2013 at St. Peter’s Episcopal Church in New Kent. The Reverend Dr. S. Paul Rowles officiated.

The bride is the granddaughter of Mr. and Mrs. Clifton Warren Davis of New Kent and the granddaughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. William Furtheringham Burnett of Charleston, South Carolina.

The groom is the grandson of Mrs. Marjorie Dawkins Parker and the late Mr. James Alexander Dawkins and the late Mr. and Mrs. Edward Clyde Lambert, Jr. of Richmond.

The bride was escorted by her father in the double ring ceremony. She is a graduate of Washington and Lee University where she was a member of Pi Beta Phi. She received her masters from Johns Hopkins University. She is an environmental specialist for Angler Environmental.

The groom is a graduate of Bridgewater College where he was a member of Alpha Phi Omega. He is employed by BrownGreer, PLC.

Miss Melanie Martin of Richmond was Maid of Honor. Tricia Davis, cousin of the bride, Catherine Kruse of St. Louis, Hila Yashar of Modi’in, Israel, and Sarah Uzel of Portland, Maine were bridesmaids.

Mr. Ted Lambert, brother of the groom, was best man. Groomsmen were Nick Akintola of Harrisonburg, Harrison Miller of Herndon, Andrew Pompei of Houston, and Ashon Woodbury of Harrisonburg.

Ushers were Davis Gammon, cousin of the bride, and James Ellis, friend of the groom.

Flower girls were Natalie and Hannah Roberts, cousins of the groom.

The organist was Jeannine Uzel, trumpeter was Glenn Lavender, and soloist was Rachel Day.

A bridesmaid’s brunch was given by the bride’s grandparents at their home on the Pamunkey River. The rehearsal dinner, given by the groom’s parents, and the reception, hosted by the brides’s parents, were both held at The Vintager Inn.

After a honeymoon in Belize, the couple will reside in Richmond.
