HPL NK Glinnie reads to Kody Baker Nov 2013
Kody Baker (center) reads to Glinnie, a therapy dog, as part of Heritage Public Library’s “PAWS to READ” program in New Kent. READ stands for Reading Education Assistance Dogs and is a nationwide program that has been implemented in schools, libraries, and other locations to promote participation in literacy at an early age. The program also helps with communication skills, self-esteem, confidence, and social skills.
