Mr. and Mrs. Nicholas David Gerardi (Abigail Grace Howard)

Miss Abigail Grace Howard and Mr. Nicholas David Gerardi were joined in marriage on September 7, 2013, at the Historic Jasmine Plantation in New Kent County, Virginia by Pastor David Smith.

Abigail is the daughter of Martin and Debbie Howard of New Kent County and the granddaughter of Mrs. Ann Pace and the late Durward R. Pace Sr., and Dr. and Mrs. F.W. Howard.

Nick is the son of David Gerardi of Buffalo, New York and Diane and Steve Fenton of Clifton Forge, Virginia, and the grandson of the late Mr. and Mrs. Benedict Gerardi and Mrs. Patricia Noward and the late Eugene Nowak.

Abigail was escorted by her father and given in marriage by her parents in the double ring ceremony.

Miss Emily Wilson, friend of the bride, was the maid of honor. Bridesmaids were Miss Stephanie Pace, Miss Laura Strang, and Miss Becky Weinberg, cousins of the bride and Mrs. Rachael Kamm and Miss Stephanie Tschants, friends of the bride. Little Miss Ainsley Howard, niece of the bride, was the flower girl. Miss Katharine Black, Miss Emily Rettig, Mrs. Brittany Oberlin and Miss Erica Cofer, all friends of the bride, served as ceremony attendants. Mrs. Cady Howard, sister-in-law of the bride, was the mistress of ceremonies extraordinaire.

Mr. Joey Lutz, friend of the groom, was the best man. Groomsmen were Mr. Martin Howard Jr. and Mr. Jonathan Howard, brothers of the bride and Mr. Justin Antezana, Mr. Chad Conner, and Mr. William Shinn, friends of the groom. Two friends of the couple, Mr. Tanner Smith and Mr. Ian Schewegal, served as ushers.

Mrs. Aubrey Bailey and Mr. and Mrs. Joseph Howard provided the music for the ceremony. Joseph sang “The Wedding Song” and played the guitar as the mothers and grandmothers were escorted in. Mr. Sam Howard sang “And the Father Says I Do,” and Miss Jane Van Der Linden sang “How Deep the Father’s Love for Us.” Mr. Steve Fenton provided the sound system for the ceremony.

Abigail and Nick ceremonially “tied the knot,” using a fisherman’s rope and received their first communion together as husband and wife.

Nick’s family hosted the rehearsal dinner at the Historic Jasmine Plantation and Abigail’s parents hosted the reception, also at Jasmine Plantation, where the guests enjoyed an evening of dinner and dancing. DJ Bill Coada provided the music for the reception. The couple left the ceremony amid a shower of sparklers.

Nick and Abigail are both 2013 graduates of Liberty University in Lynchburg, Virginia. Nick is employed by the Engineering Firm of AMT and Abigail is employed by Oakwood Country Club of Lynchburg.

The couple had their honeymoon at a Sandals resort in the Bahamas. They now make their home in Lynchburg.
