NKMS Beta Club

New Kent Middle School Beta Club participated in the statewide competition March 11-12 in Hampton, reaping success in a variety of areas. Starting at top left, Jillian Schmid earned first place accolades in poetry. Harrison Hunt (top right) and Josh Dore (bottom left), earned second place finishes in the areas of math and science, respectively. At bottom right, Kirsten Torrence’s classical dance routine earned her third place acknowledgement in the individual talent category. Not pictured is Cameron Fazio, who received the Harris Leadership Award for Excellence. Schmid, Hunt, and Dore will compete in the National Beta Club competition this summer. NKMS sent 43 students to the event, competing against 31 other middle schools and 1,000 competitors.
