Charles City Ruritan scholarship winner

Charles City Ruritan’s Club presented its annual $8,000 scholarship to 2014 graduate Daija Johnson (second from left) during a recent recognition ceremony. The organization has been awarding scholarships for many years and raised funds through county events including its annual Steakfeast held in September. Joining Johnson are (l to r) Ruritan president Kevin Sullivan, past scholarship recipients Samantha Spires and Sierra Adkins, Ruritan member Randy Boyd, and high school principal Stephannie Crutchfield.
