Senior Connections providing baskets

Senior Connections, that serves Charles City and New Kent County, is partnering with the Capital Area Agency on Aging and Richmond’s Office on Aging for the 25th Annual Holiday Gift Basket Project for Older Adults.

The project promotes healthy aging and helps seniors remain safe and independent in their homes and communities.

The agency is currently requesting donations to complete the baaskets. Items are acceptable are nonperishable food items, grocery and pharmacy gift cards, emergency/disaster prepardness items, and basic household needs. Items donated are to be received by Wednesday, Dec. 10, at the Senior Connections office at 24 E. Cary Street, Richmond.

Monetary donations are also accepted by making the check payable to Senior Connections and sending it to SC/CAA Holiday Project, 24 E. Cary Street, Richmond, Va. 23129, Attn: 2014 Holiday Gift Project.
