“Saved by the Belt” award

The Wilson Family was recognized with the “Saved by the Belt and Bag” award during New Kent’s Board of Supervisors regular monthly meeting on Jan. 12. The family survived an accident last year that involved a vehicle colliding with their car, but with the proper use of safety restraints, the family survived and continues to spread the message of the importance of wearing a seat belt. Accompanying the family is New Kent deputy Lee Bailey, who was among one of the first responders at the scene.
