New Kent Elementary talent show 2015

Melissa Spangler's gymnastics routine (above) captured first place in the Grade 3-5 division at Friday night's sixth annual New Kent Elementary School Talent Show. The team of Chloe, Cambell, and Carrington Coyle and Zoey Morelli (below) took first place in the Grade PreK-2 division with their gymnastics routine while singing "Let It Go." Carter Hillis sang "60 Million Snowflakes" to win second place in Grade 3-5 while Owen Phillips placed third playing military tunes on the accordion. For Grade PreK-2, Dahlia Grech placed second singing "Animal Crackers," and third went to Madison Barnett who sang "Tomorrow." Receiving honorable mention in Grade 3-5 were Indy Bennett (guitar performance), Alexis McCoy (singing "Gold"), Fisher Mallory (dancing to "Xscape"), and the team of Reagan Beach, Hailee Roberts, Abby and Annslea Simmons, Sophie and Abby McLaughlin, Madison Green, and Leah Moeller (singing "Hard Knock Life"). Mackenzie Loveland (singing "America the Beautiful") and the duo of Delaney Sherman and Ashlynn Goins (singing "True Friend") received honorable mention in Grade PreK-2. Judges for the contest were Michelle Edwards (choir director for New Kent Middle and High schools) and Melody Raef (choir director for West Point Middle and High schools).
