‘Polar Plunge’

Members from Proclaiming Grace Outreach, New Kent Sheriff’s Office, and other surrounding churches took a dip into the Chickahominy River as part of the "Polar Plunge" held on Jan. 25. The plunge was taken as a result of Proclaiming Grace Outreach’s goal to reach $10,000 for the building fund by Dec. 31. Funds far exceeded expectations, as the group reached $30,000 and currently have $53,000 to help with the construction of a new building for the organization. More than 100 people witnessed numerous volunteers taking the cold dip.
