Senior Connections celebrates National Volunteer Week
Senior Connections, serving residents ages 55 and older both in Charles City and New Kent, will celebrate National Volunteer Week on Apr. 12-18.
“We commend the generosity and spirit of our volunteers who share their time and talent to make the community a better place to live whether helping an older adult balance a checkbook, explaining Medicare benefits, mentoring a child, or helping visitors at local museums,” said Senior Connections executive director Thelma Bland Watson. “Volunteers are valuable resources and we offer volunteer opportunities for all ages, especially for individuals age 55 and older.”
Senior Connections sponsors many programs and services run by dedicated volunteers that include Foster Grandparents, Money Management, TeleBridges, and more.
