Turner elected to Virginia R&P Society board

Kim Turner, director of New Kent Parks and Recreation, was elected to the Virginia Recreation and Park Society Board of Directors on March 13.

“VRPS has provided me with many opportunities over the last seven years and traces back to when I was a student at Longwood College,” said Turner in a press release. “I feel my leadership skills, my commitment to the profession, and my passion for parks and recreation will be an asset to the VRPS Board of Directors.”

Turner takes over for Mike McCarty, who resigned from the position on Feb. 27.
