Heritage Public Library to hold writing workshop in Charles City

Heritage Public Library will be hosting a writing workshop on Tuesday, May 19, 6:30 p.m. at Cary Hill Plantation, 11401 Eagles Nest Road, in Charles City.

Entitled “So You Want to Write a Children’s Book,” the workshop will be conducted by Claudia Mills, a nationally-known author who has produced a series of books including the recently released “Franklin School Friends.”

The writing workshop will show inspired authors behind-the-scenes processes of writing a children’t book including asking questions on how to get an idea, how to format the book, and what are the specifications of writing as part of the workshop.

The workshop is sponsored by the Charles City Cultural Alliance and the Kip Kephart Foundation. Space is limited to the first 25 people people. For more information about the event or to register, call 966-2480.
