Celebrate the Arts celebrates 15 years

Ever wondered what to do with all those plastic bottle tops that can't be recycled? (Besides throw them away, that is.) Kids attending Saturday's 15th annual Celebrate the Arts at New Kent High School discovered (above) that adding a little paint can be the first step in using the tops to create works of art. The event, meanwhile, showcased visual and performing arts featuring students from all four county schools. In addition to art displays, performances by students involved in music and theater highlighted the event. Hands-on workshops allowed visitors to take part while several of the school system's Odyssey of the Mind teams displayed their talents. For more Celebrate the Arts photos, click on "Photo Gallery."
