Creature encounter at Heritage Public Library

Kids show off immense bravery touching a snake from Africa as Virginia Living Museum educator Bo Baker carries it around during the "Reptiles of the World" presentation at the Charles City branch of Heritage Public Library on June 15. Sponsored by the Kip Kephart Foundation and Friends of Heritage Library, the show was presented to 25 visitors at the Charles City branch and 75 onlookers at the New Kent branch to promote education and knowledge of reptiles and allow for hands-on interaction with creatures including snakes, turtles, and lizards.
