Heritage Public Library celebrates National Library Card month

Heritage Public Library is promoting September as “Library Card Sign-up month.”

The library joins in with the American Library Association and other public libraries nationwide to promote the event. Studies show that children who use the library perform better in school.

Heritage Public Library has a variety of programs to associate with reading. Programs include tutoring, story times, STEAM oriented workshops, Paws to Read, and teen programming. Additional programs such as online homework help and a book discussion group for adults are also available.

The library will have giveaways for new patrons who sign up for the library. Prizes include two Regal movie tickets.
