Letter to the Editor: Tells local officials not to support Iran deal

This is an open letter to Senators Mark Warner and Tim Kaine, and Congressman Dave Brat:

Please, I beg of you do not support the Iran nuclear deal. Iran has been instrumental in the deaths of many of our military. They are behind the support of the terrorism in the world. They pledge the destruction of Israel and death to America. They are holding Americans hostage. We get nothing out of this but maybe 10, 15 years before they go nuclear (assuming they even observe the agreement). Where is the loyalty to “We the People?” Sixty to seventy percent of us do not want the deal. Accepting Obama’s wishes is nothing short of telling, “We the People” that you are smarter than us. This is a constitutional republic, a representative form a government that is supposed to act upon the consent of the governed.

Accepting the Iran deal is nothing short of aiding and abetting the enemy, foreign and domestic. We know we cannot trust Iran. The question now is can we trust those of you that took an oath to preserve, protect, and defend the Constitution of the United States and honestly serve and represent the people? Doing otherwise in my opinion is nothing of treason.

President Obama tells us if we do not accept this deal the alternative is war. I doubt that, but even if he is correct, which is better; to war with an enemy before he acquires a nuclear weapon or after they have nuclear weapons and the ability to deliver them? I know the answer. Do you?

Do not support the Iran nuclear deal.
