Letter to the Editor: Says businesses, citizens benefit from work of Ron Stiers

I want to voice my support for Ron Stiers for re-election in the race to the New Kent District 4 Board of Supervisors.

Ron has been committed to working with businesses in New Kent to move forward with sustained economic growth in the county. As a small business owner, there have been times I have called upon Ron to help sort through issues that surrounded the expansion of my own facility. He has been an advocate and supporter when I needed a voice.

Beyond business, Ron also brings a personal touch to the position. After voicing my concerns about rising water bills in the county, he worked with the board of supervisors to bring the rates under control. Because he knew I was concerned, he kept me informed of decisions about utility rates and even had the director of utilities to call me to discuss the concerns of my neighbors and I had about our bills.

I can think of no one who serves our community more than Ron Stiers and I highly recommend that the citizens of his district vote to re-elect him.
