Honoring those who served at NKMS

Above, military veterans stand for the presentation of colors as part of New Kent Middle School's annual Veterans Day ceremony on Nov. 11. A packed gymnasium recognized servicemen and women for their contributions to ensure freedom of citizens in the United States. Below, keynote speaker and former U.S. Marine Jeffrey Summers spoke about the limitless promise to defend America and the U.S. Constitution, while at bottom, New Kent Middle School band members perform "The Band in the Square" as part of the ceremony.
