Armful of awards

Lee Bailey, Sheriff-Elect Joe McLaughlin Jr., and Sheriff Wakie Howard have their hands full after New Kent Sheriff's Office received a plethora of awards in recognition of their service to the county as part of the Chiefs of Police Law Enforcement Presentation Monday night at the board of supervisors meeting. Awards won by the department are the National Law Enforcement Award (1st), Virginia Law Enforcement Award (1st), Commonwealth's Award, and the Distracted Driving Prevention Award.
