Kip Kephart citizenship award winners

The Kip Kephart foundation recognized one student at New Kent Elementary, George Watkins Elementary, and New Kent Middle School as winners of their annual citizenship award. Each recipient was nominated by teachers for displaying characteristics of good citizenship. Students received a monetary prize, a certificate of recognition, and will have their name engraved on a plaque that is displayed within the school. Above, Alyssa Monahan (center) is selected as New Kent Middle School’s winner. Accompanying her are (l to r) Sheriff-elect Joe McLaughlin Jr., principal Sammy Fudge, father Rick Dokos, mother Charity Dokos, Sheriff F.W. “Wakie” Howard Jr., and Steve Rula of the Kip Kephart foundation.
